Almost Heaven. West Virginia. Or so they would have you believe. I did enjoy my time in WV, but it’s probably the lamest National Park we’ve been to. It was really difficult to find a place to stay, and the place I found was expensive and pretty terrible. We did the bridge walk, which was expensive for what it was, but pretty neat. The New river, for whatever reason, is actually the oldest river in the United States. All in all I would not recommend WV as a destination, but definitely stop by New River Gorge if you’re driving through. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
