We almost didn’t come here because it’s pretty out of the way, but I’m really glad we did because it was really interesting and a lot different than I expected. Pinnacles is known for its talus caves, which are caves that are formed by boulders falling over a trench. I love caves, but I wasn’t expecting the talus caves to actually be cave like, but when you’re at the bottom of one, you would never know it wasn’t a normal cave. Also, I was talking to a guy a couple of weeks later about it and he said he never goes into the caves because all he can think about is an earthquake shaking all those boulders loose. I had never thought about that. Probably won’t go back in those caves.
